Railway Viewing Platform

Downtown Toccoa is home to a new Railway Viewing Platform, constructed in part due to funding received from a Tourism Product Development Grant from the Georgia Department of Economic Development. This viewing platform is the only railway viewing platform on an Amtrak line in the State of Georgia. Norfolk Southern trains pass by multiple times a day, as well.

One of only several viewing platforms in the State of Georgia, this is the perfect opportunity for railfans to watch the trains, or for families to picnic and enjoy Downtown Toccoa.
